Sundowner Supply is a South African online store, trading since 2015, selling genuine Field Bar cooler boxes and gin trunks, SMEG kitchen appliances and Stanley drinkware. Below are the questions we are asked most often about stock, delivery, payment and returns.
Which brands does Sundowner Supply stock?
Three. Field Bar, for insulated cooler boxes, 24L gin trunks, 750ml field bottles, swing sling bags, outdoor glassware and beach towels. SMEG, for kitchen appliances including kettles, toasters, blenders, coffee machines, coffee grinders, stand mixers, microwaves, cookware, fridges and freestanding cookers. Stanley, for drinkware including Quencher tumblers, IceFlow bottles, travel mugs, camp mugs and cooler jugs.
Is everything you sell genuine?
Yes. Every product on Sundowner Supply is genuine stock, sourced through legitimate channels. We do not sell replicas, imitations, or grey-market imports — not for Field Bar, not for SMEG, not for Stanley.
Is delivery really free?
Yes. Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa on every order, with no minimum spend required to qualify. We also ship to Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe, where a flat R550 courier fee applies and orders over R5,000 ship free.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation. Inside South Africa they typically arrive within 3–7 business days — major metros at the faster end, outlying areas at the slower end. Cross-border orders to Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe take 7–14 business days, because they clear customs on the way. Do you ship outside South Africa?
Yes — to Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Cross-border shipping is a flat R550 per order, and free on orders over R5,000. Allow 7–14 business days. Any import duties, taxes or customs clearance charges raised in the destination country are for your account and are collected by the courier before delivery — they are not included in the price you pay us.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is currently by EFT — direct bank transfer. You place the order on the site, then pay by transfer using your order number as the reference. Your order is dispatched once the payment reflects in our account. All prices are in South African rand.
Do you have a physical shop I can visit?
No. Sundowner Supply is an online-only store based in Durban, South Africa. There is no walk-in showroom, and orders are placed on the website and delivered to you.
What sizes do Field Bar cooler boxes come in?
Three sizes. The 4L mini is a one-person cooler for a few cans or a single bottle. The 10L is the everyday size, enough for drinks and some food. The 24L is the group and full-day box, and is also the size used for the gin trunks, which are arranged to carry bottles, mixers, glassware and ice together rather than as one open cavity. Multi-size sets are available.
Can I return an item?
Yes. Under the Consumer Protection Act you have 5 business days from delivery to cancel an online purchase without giving a reason, provided the item is unused, undamaged and in its original packaging. Beyond that we accept returns for 30 days from delivery on unused items in original packaging with all tags and accessories. For change-of-mind returns the return shipping is yours; for faulty or incorrect items we cover it. What if my SMEG appliance or Stanley product develops a fault?
Contact us with your order number and photos and we will arrange a replacement, repair or refund at no cost to you. This sits alongside your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, which are not affected by our own returns window.
How do I care for my Field Bar cooler box or gin trunk?
Wipe down with a damp cloth after use, allow to dry fully before closing and storing, and avoid harsh abrasive cleaners on the exterior finish.
